The Internet and the World Wide Web

The Internet's first workable version took place in the late 1960s with the development of ARPANET, or the Agency Network for Advanced Research Projects. Initially US-funded. ARPANET, Department of Defense, used packet switching to enable multiple software to manage over a single system. Over 50 years ago, the system began out in the United States as a government tool in the Cold War (Andrews, 2019). For decades it has been used by scientists and researchers to interact and exchange data with one another. Including an Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) infographic, no individual, corporation, organization, or government operates the Internet. The web has transformed industry, schooling, government, health care and even the way we communicate with our family members has been one of the main sources of social growth. The improvements in the social interaction are of particular importance. The Internet eliminated all barriers to effective communication (Government Technology, 2020).

This association between the World Wide Web and the Internet is that the Internet is a series of linked computers in gateways, in which the content contained in databases and on servers is transmitted from one computer to another, and the World Wide Web is the program utilized to access the users' demanded information. On top of the internet the World Wide Web exists. The Internet network has been at the heart of the Web, and the Web is more like an enticing parasite needing protection for the User. The web page available on the web typically includes hypertext links, which is often referred to as links. These links bind to other pages stored on the same server or even a separate one; these servers could be obtained in different locations around the globe. Thus, such a system of the interlinked documents is significantly known as the hypertext. The internet is a network of wired devices, by using TCP/ IP communication system. Computers connected via handsets and gateways through the Internet. Many computers are used as servers that are connected to the Internet on an ongoing basis and then used to archive web pages; such machines are typically called servers (JSCHAFER, 2010).

The technology is being used in the operation of the internet is referred to as Internet of Things (IoT). The Internet of Things is the integration between various data-generating devices, computers or appliances. IoT involves networking of non-traditional devices, such as cars, household appliances, smartphones and smart gadgets, which have digital sensors and software built into their core components. IoT's fundamental goal is not only to produce data but also to derive useful knowledge and information from the data these tools generate. Specific companies, legislatures, and customers can then easily apply these ideas to fulfill their goals. Organizations also felt some need to accelerate progress in IoT because of the ongoing development of technology. Everything is all virtual nowadays. Consumers are still browsing and are able to keep up with the new technical innovations. This burden naturally falls on the hands of corporations, as a company is operating on a consumer's desires and requests (JOSHI, 2017).

Key factors that powered rapid growth of the World Wide Web:

The development has revolutionized industry, education, government, health care, and it has been one of the main drivers of social development, and the way we communicate with the fellow humans. The improvements in the social contact are of particular importance. The Internet has eliminated all obstacles to contact. Internet growth shows that government research funding, implemented in the right place and in the right time, could be highly successful. Assistance from DARPA gave accessibility to personal researchers' work on data transmission, and contributed to the emergence of the very first large-scale packet-switched network. Persistent experimental support led to the establishment of networking services and algorithms like e-mail, which were used on the ARPANET and then on the Internet. Government services such as ARPANET and NSFNET have developed a broad enough user base to make this world more accessible in many applications than the commercial networking solutions that a variety of vendors have to offer. Federal agencies' compatible missions and working modes are essential for developing and integrating emerging technologies. Although DARPA funded early research on ARPANET packet switching and growth, this was not ready to support the group processes nor extended its network beyond the research organizations sponsored by DARPA. Its ability to retain the rapid growth of Internet traffic would require additional technologies to be developed which will produce huge volume traffic. If speech is bundled, voice traffic would in all probability only account for around 3 percent of Internet traffic. But voice traffic hadn't filled the pipes that are likely to exit, nor would Web browsing be conventioanlly. The other aspect that overshadows a good picture of the network is the short-termism of a lot of public discourse about it, a characteristic that could be satirized as the last five minutes' sociology. This is entirely a function of two factors such as the network's ability to facilitate unforeseen innovative ideas and release them into society, and the mass media's fascination with the New Thing (The national academics of science, engineering and medicine, 2010).
