Step1: Write the decimal and divide by 1
Step2: Multiply and divide by 10 for every number after decimal point.
Step3: Simplify the fraction
Example: Convert 0.75 as fraction
Step1: Multiply the denominator by a multiple to make it 10, 100, 1000 or any multiple of 10
Step2: Multiply the numerator by the same number
Step3: write the number by placing the decimal point one space from right for every zero in denominator.
Special case* if the denominator cannot be converted into a multiple of 10 then convert the number to any nearest multiple of 10
Example: Convert 6/25 into decimal
Step1: If we multiply the denominator by 4 it will become 100
Step2: So multiply numerator by the same number
6 x 4 = 24
25 x 4 = 100
Step3: 0.24 is the answer.
The easiest way to convert a decimal number to percent is to multiply the number by 100 as percent mean “per hundred” or just move the decimal point two digit towards right. And remember to put % with your answer.
Example: convert 0.75 to percent
0.75 x 100 = 75%
Or 0.75 = 75%
The method is just opposite to the one mentioned above. Divide the given percent by 100 or move the decimal point two places from right to left.
Example: convert 7.5% to decimal
75/100 = 0.75
75% = 0.075
