This course provides a general introduction to the law, theory, and practice of internationally recognized human rights. The course is designed to provide students with an informed and critical perspective on international instruments and institutions, and domestic legal arrangements relating to the articulation and implementation of human rights. Topics will include the historical origins of modern human rights law; connections between civil, political, social, and economic rights; and global, regional, and national methods of implementation and enforcement. The course also deals with the United Nations model of the human rights especially the educational and child rights.
