Introduction and Scenario

In this workbook you will demonstrate the skills that you have learned in this unit by installing Windows 7 into a virtual machine, configuring Windows 7, performing routine management and maintenance of the installed system, creating user accounts and troubleshooting. You will also demonstrate some basic Linux skills.

You will provide evidence of these skills by taking screenshots of your system after each action that you need to perform. You will also answer a few written questions in your own words. You should work on each of the tasks in this workbook as soon as you have gained the skills to do them. Do NOT leave the completion of this workbook until the last minute!

Scenario: Your boss needs you to install and configure Windows 7 in a virtual machine environment as she needs to run a legacy Windows application; the application can only run on Windows 7. After doing some research on the specific application, you are confident that the Windows 7 installation will only need 1G of RAM and 40G of disk space, but it will need network connectivity.
