Case Assessment 1

Introduction

Chapter 2 discusses the following examples of IT governance reference models, frameworks and standards:

  • ISO 9001
  • Six Sigma
  • ISO/IEC 27001
  • CMMI
  • CobiT
  • TOGAF
  • ITIL

Task

Your task is to research one of the frameworks listed above and present your findings to the class.

In groups of 2 or 3 students:

  1. Choose one of the frameworks listed above.
  2. Research to find articles, textbooks and other references on the topic. You must find at least 3 references – One reference for each person in the group.
  3. Prepare a presentation.
    1. Your presentation should start by describing the framework that you chose and its intended area of use.
    2. Your presentation should then discuss the main elements of the selected framework.
    3. The presentation should not exceed 10 min.
  4. Each student should be prepared to answer questions about the discussed framework.
  5. Choose another group, and prepare a question about their selected framework
