Widefield microscope and build zemax
Make sure EXPERT know how to work ZEMAX OPTICSTUDIO (need to be downloaded)
PART 1: BUILDING OPTICAL SYSTEMS (MICROSCOPE) IN ZEMAX AND TEST
Test for
RESOLUTION
etc
BUILD A CONFOCAL MICROSCOPE
Parameters (wavelength, index, mirror location, focal length, etc)
Other different specs to compare to it’s spec sheet
Write overall report (pro, cons, similarity, and differences) of the two type of lens IN PART 2
Zemax project: consider an optical system for which you can find a spec sheet online - for example, a widefield microscope - and build it in Zemax. You can test for resolution, aberrations, etc, and then try changing out the lenses in the system for comparable ones (Confocal) and compare results. Use spec ssheet in analysis for PART 2 : research report .
Provide a list of all reference material that you used to research your topic. You can use software packages such as Endnote to facilitate making an appropriate bibliography. The research report and simulation report, together, should be a maximum of 8 pages, maximum of 10 figures and maximum of 25 references. The Optical Society of America (OSA) Optics Express Template will be used for your course project report. Code should not be included in research paper (either within the text or as an appendix). BUT I WOULD LIKE EXPERT TO SEND CODE TO ME AND SCREENSHOTS OF TESTING THE MICROSCOPE .
