How does collaboration establish a relationship with educators/ service providers and families of the children in care? (100–150 words)

When families and educators/service providers collaborate together, the form a relationship build on mutual trust, understanding and respect. This can be achieved by creating an open communication between the two parties so they can work together to create the best possible outcome for the child/children. By building this relationship you create the following with parents:

Clarity about roles and responsibilities.

Appreciation of each other’s knowledge and experience. Willingness to negotiate and compromise.
