This game also helps the student develop questioning skills
Part C: Justification
The guessing number game where the students have to guess the numbers they have with them with the help of a few clues is a fun and interactive game. As said before, in this game students are assigned a number and they have to ask their classmates what number they are wearing. There are many advantages of playing this game for the first grade students, not only when it comes to learning numbers but also when it comes to developing other personal skills.
Each student will have to wear a headband with a number on it. Then they will have to circle around in the classroom and ask the other students to answer the number in yes or no. For instance the student can ask the other student whether his number is even or odd; greater than 20 or less than 20, etc. The students are not allowed to ask the same person more than once so as to keep them moving. The students will play till the time each one of them have guessed their numbers with the help of the clues. There will be three lines on the board having a wet erase marker. The student will have to decide the number line that their number will cater to and accordingly decide where their number will fit with the help of a dry erase marker. Either the rest of the class will agree with the student or disagree and help their classmate find the right spot. The student will also have to write the clues regarding the number by themselves.
