  1. Library Timings

A poll was conducted among both the first and second year students of IIML regarding the library being opened all the night. Results suggest that the majority of the students (66% of the 1st year and 84% of the 2nd year students) want the library to be opened all the night. Around 10% of both the batches are not sure about it. Also, we can infer from the results that the second year students are more inclined towards reading in the library than the first year students.

Hence, I propose to the management for the extension of the library timings, not just to fulfill the requirements of the students but also to motivate them to make reading a habit.

I understand that there is a cost associated with this, but I also assert that the quality of library is one of the biggest assets for an educational institution which cannot be traded off.
