Taking the long route increases tenacity and work ethic

As a student, I strongly feel that maintaining academic integrity is essential to become professionally-ready for any career, but particularly for those in business. The principles of academic integrity are violated by plagiarism, which is when I express someone else's ideas or work as my own without giving them proper credit. Being an ethical, successful business professional will be closely correlated to my ability to avoid plagiarism and maintain academic integrity in my studies. The essay highlights how maintaining academic integrity principles, such as correctly citing sources, writing original work, and staying away from plagiarism, fosters important skills and values like transparency, a strong work ethic, trustworthiness, and fairness that have a direct impact on professional success and moral behaviour in the university environment.

Respecting others' intellectual property rights comes first while trying to preserve academic integrity (American Psychological Association, 2017). Plagiarism is basically intellectual property theft because it fails to provide due credit to the original writer. In the business industry, trust-building, future cooperation, and positive relationships are all based on the respect for and correct attribution of ideas. Business ties might be broken, my reputation could be permanently damaged, and there may even be legal repercussions if I violate intellectual property rights. I will develop the practice of acknowledging and appreciating others' efforts throughout my career by properly referencing sources in my academic work. Giving credit where credit is due and valuing transparency is demonstrated by my attribution.

Examining my own education, I find that I appreciate academic integrity since it helps me develop into a well-rounded, moral business professional by maintaining these principles throughout my studies. My success after university is based on my ability to complete my own work, properly cite sources, and refrain from using unethical shortcuts. Plagiarism deceives the basic qualities that businesses search for, including originality, a strong work ethic, talents, and ethics (Aull, Bandarage and Miller, 2017). I am establishing the basis to be a valuable addition to any business by avoiding plagiarism by upholding the ideas of others, acting honestly, accepting accountability to develop my skills, preserving my reputation, and advocating justice.

By adhering to academic integrity, I have acquired principles that will make me an invaluable worker and an excellent professional in any business environment. Preparing to handle ethical challenges in the real world involves taking concrete steps to prevent plagiarism. Maintaining business ethics policies and cultivating stakeholder trust are the goals of this activity. My future business connections will be favorably impacted by the integrity I have shown throughout my academic path.
