Internal & External Factors and its impact on project management processes 1

Introduction

As part of the project planning success, an awareness of the internal and external components is required. Internal elements are often easier to spot and handle, but external influences are more difficult to pin down. An essential aspect of the project planning process is determining the factors that impact the project's execution. Project managers are caught off guard and unprepared for the situations that just hover over through the project since they don't comprehend the causes that might cause it to delay or fail. These might stem from external or internal influences. These elements must be discovered and categorized in order for the project to be successful.

Internal & External Factors and its impact on project management processes

Personnel Competencies:

The existing skills and the personnel capabilities were operate in the traditional way or in the existing operational way. This change project of implementing and shifting towards the agile platform it creates hurdles with the existing personnel competencies. The existing employee capabilities would have a direct impact on the project. They lacked with the advanced skills which is required during the project cycle, which was a flaw that delayed project completion. Companies also lacked a center of excellence, which is critical to the effective completion of any project (TAMBOVCEVA, 2016). Project manager consisted mainly of workable structures created for project managers and departments or employees to aid institutional framework may well be recognized as a poor framework structure, at which project management and planning are assigned to regular employees, resulting in regular employees failing to manage the project, possibly due to inadequate knowledge and qualifications (Laslo, 2010). As a result, the project was under-scoped, but there were some questions unanswered, which seems to be perhaps one of the project's drawbacks (Degler, 1999). Some of the elements that negatively impacts the change project and the project management process is the current human resources expertise, skills, competences, and Insufficient knowledge of agile methodologies. The employee needs to be trained here and have also the professional team for the development of the project.

Stakeholder Management & Communication Plan

Stakeholders in a project are any group or people who can influence or be affected by an organization's goal. Internal and external elements, such as organizational culture, structure, staff competencies, and other external stakeholders, have influenced the project. Stakeholder management has become an intrinsic aspect of the organizational project by applying PMBOK approaches. There might be a variety of stakeholders in the organization, each with a distinct level of knowledge, culture and background, religion, and language. Working on projects, in particular, requires dealing with individuals from various cultures and languages, which a project manager cannot handle in the same manner. Stakeholders, project sponsors, project teams, suppliers, and customers should all have their own plans and processes prepared. The following is a prototype communication strategy for dealing with project participants successfully.
