This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to develop, implement and sustain effective, professional and contemporary work health and safety (WHS) management practices. It requires the ability to establish and review systems, policies and procedures designed to ensure a safe workplace.

Purpose of the assessment
The purpose of this assessment task is to assess the students ability to
establish and maintain a work health and safety sytem, conduct researh
and consult with stakeholders

How the trainer/assessor will assess the work?
Once all assessment tasks allocated to this Unit of Competency have been undertaken, the trainer/assessor will complete an Assessment plan to record the unit outcome. The outcome will be either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC).
