Physiology and pathophysiology and health assessment frameworks

HNN114 Health Assessment
Assignment question:
You are required to watch a specific video of a brief patient interaction whilst on a clinical placement. See the link below. You have also been provided with a written version of the ISBAR handover (see on the Cloud site).
Using one of the health assessment frameworks/approaches (outlined on pp 821-823 of the prescribed textbook by Jarvis (2016)), arrange this assessment data into meaningful clusters of health assessment data, identifying normal and abnormal findings.
These assessment findings should be documented using appropriate professional terminology. You are able to present this information in dot points or within a table.
You have been asked by the Registered Nurse to conduct a focused assessment on Mr Wilkins.
Following data collection, nurses use that information to hypothesise (predict) what problems may be evident with their patient. The nurse then uses the
hypotheses/predictions to identify additional assessment information they need to collect. No references required for this question.
(iii) Identify the additional physical assessments you would undertake to collect further data in relation to each hypothesis and explain why these assessments are necessary. Support your answer with reference to anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.
“There is evidence that the warning signs of clinical deterioration are not always identified or acted on appropriately. Early identification of deterioration may improve patient outcomes.” Australian Commission on Quality and Safety in health care. (2012) Standard 9.
