The objective of this assessment is to assess your skills as would be required to prepare for a client assessment, conduct a client assessment interview and document a client assessment
interview

There are three parts to this assessment. All three parts must be completed satisfactorily to be awarded a competent mark.

You will conduct a 15–20 minute client assessment interview using the AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) Tool.

A copy of this assessment tool can be accessed from the class MS Teams site.

Specific Instructions:

The purpose of this client assessment interview is to conduct an assessment using the AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) Tool. This tool will help to identify needs related to alcohol use.

You will have basic information about the client that you collected in Part 1 however you will need to gather other relevant information directly from them throughout the interview.

Refer to the list of criteria in the Role Play Skills Observation Checklist to understand what skills you need to demonstrate throughout the Initial Client Contact role-play.

Use this Checklist to understand what skills you need to demonstrate in the client
assessment interview role play. The Checklist lists the assessment criteria used to determine whether you have successfully completed this assessment event. All the criteria must be met. Your demonstration will be used as part of the overall evidence requirements of the unit.
