Company Information

Functional stakeholders are the company employees, customers, donors, and supporters. The housing of urban development (HUD) is an example of one of their main functional stakeholders since GKCCEH is a branch of them.

Normative stakeholders are the company competitors and associations. Since GKCCEH collaborates with similar companies or companies with the same goal, the company competitors would have to be companies with the opposite goal (working against ending homelessness).

c) Help publicize the organization more because not enough people are familiar with them. Incorporate press releases, newsletters/new publications, and different news/media outlets (websites, blogs, or magazines). Show how they collect their data and how it’s used to benefit the homeless issue.

c) Opportunities- I think this organization needs to lead more community events, share their information, and not cost the organization a lot. Like Co-hosting with other organizations or finding groups already having an affair and asking them to be a part of it. Maybe even getting the city involved to fund. Another option is having online forums/classes/ discussions, maybe having special speakers (people interested in helping KC or small communities in KC) come and share their information (who they are and what they do, and how others can help). Posting these videos on their website (like their blog) would benefit their viewers because it gives them more access.

d) Threats- I don’t think this organization has to worry about emerging competitors because their website presence alone is excellent. There are so many areas that the website covers and is secure with. I noticed this when I began looking for an organization. Which was the only website I came across with unlimited sources, information, links, downloadable information, and a blog page. The only
competition emerging competitors would have would be social media (if they even have any). Another is events or any type of public engagement. The Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness (GKCCEH) has many beneficial

3) Attainable: I think the Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness (GKCCEH) should reach out to the Homeless shelters, Housing services, non-profits, for-profits, and companies with the initiative to eliminate

homelessness. Groups like Sheffield Place, KC Metro Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), Merging KC, and Project Homeless Connect KC. I think the best way to reach these organizations about having a meeting would be through email. The Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness should send a business email to the groups listed above. The email will ask the group’s officials if they would like to join this meeting. It will explain the goal of the meeting, the plan to create a community of services to eliminate homelessness and come together to create a list of objectives that all groups can stand by. And once achieved, reach out to the Unified Funding Agency for contributions and support from other organizations outside the KC area. The Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness should encourage the groups to spread the message about this meeting by posting it on their socials and sharing the email with other organizations within the KC area to end homelessness. All vital information will be at the end of the email. The deadline for the companies to respond saying whether they will attend or not. The deadline for the press release and the deadline for the meeting. There will also be links and contact information for any questions that need answers.

Our goal is to inform the people of Kansas City about our collaboration of homelessness organizations and mission to reach out to another organization to help further us end homelessness in Kansas City, MO.
