I feel as if I did all my assessments thourougly. I did a medication reconciliation before I knew it was required. I gave the right medications and checked the dose with another nurse beforehand.
Reflecting on Mary Richards’s case, were there any actions you would do differently if you were to repeat this scenario? If so, how would your patient care change?
Yes there were red flags. Mary Richards could not remember what medications she was taking or if she had taken them at all.

She needs to learn how to keep her potassium levels up. This can be done through a diet high in potassium. She also needs to learn how to keep up with her medication regimen. She should keep track of the medicines she is taking and when she is taking them.
