CHAPTER ONE
Undefined term : Words, usually readily understood, that are not formally explained by means of more basic words and concepts. The basic _____ terms of geometry are point, line, and plane.
Point : A location. It has neither shape nor size
Noncollinear points : Points that determine a plane.
Intersection : A set of points common to two or more geometric figures.
Betweenness of points : Ex. Point B is between points AC. AB+BC= AC
Between : For any two points A and B on a line, there is another point C between A and B if only A, B, and C, are collinear and AC + BC = AB
Midpoint : The point halfway between the endpoints of a segment
Segment Bisector : Any segment, line, or plane that intersects a segment at its midpoint
Opposite Ray : If you chose a point on a line, that point deters exactly two days. Since both rays share a common endpoint, opposite rays are collinear
Angle : Formed by two Noncollinear Rays that have a common endpoint.
Degree : Results from dividing the distance around a circle into 360 parts.
Angle Bisector : A ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles
Linear Pair : A pair of adjacent angles whose no common sides are opposite rays
Vertical Angles : Angles that are congruent
