Critical summary of the article
Duck (1993) believes that managing a change is considered as an art of balancing, the author believes that change is very personal and is a very complex task to take place in the organization as every individual tends to think, behave as well as feel differently especially in context to change. The major challenge that is often faced by the executives when it comes to change is ‘how to manage’. Managing change cannot be compared to operating machinery as working on machinery does not require considering a set of relationships. In simpler words, it can be said that managing change is similar to balancing a mobile, as it does not require to be managed in pieces and just needed to be connected as well as balanced for the smooth transaction to take place. Change has been linked to feeling, author believes that if the companies want their employees to contribute their head as well as their heart, they need accept the fundamental emotions. Large organizations usually connect with their employees through their values as it tends to reveal their beliefs. In an organization that permits only certain emotions to suffer from two things that are manager managers cut the emotions on their own lives and also cut down ideas, new approaches as well as perspectives that other people can contribute. Therefore, the organization must understand how the change should be managed in the new paradigm of thinking.

Critical analysis of Research Methodology
Uhl-Bien et al. (2007), have used systematic literature review methodology in the paper as an author have critically appraised the research for answering the research problem. Comprehensive analysis of various research is done by the scholar as multiple kinds of literature and arguments are analyzed for this paper. The research method adopted by the scholar is appropriate to complete the research as to understand the mechanism it is crucial to analyze the interaction of multiple agents over time. In this paper, the focus of the author was on the mechanism which was seen in catalyzing the activities, annealing, information flows, and non-linear emergence. The author has used a systematic literature review for explaining the complex dynamics which captures the mechanism that is unpredictable, interactive, nonlinearly changeable, and complex. The method used by the author is not fully appropriate to cover the new paradigm of complex leadership theory as to have better clarity over the complex dynamics there is a need for 2 methodological strategies. The first one is the qualitative procedure for the temporal evaluations which are used within complex studies and the second is computer modeling procedures such as agent-based modeling or system dynamic modeling which is required for evaluating the characteristics of a certain group.
Critical Analysis of the Results and Conclusions
Uhl-Bien et al. (2007), argues that in the knowledge economy or era there is a need for a leadership paradigm that promotes incentivizing workers to follow the vision and adopts a top-down control by the CEOs, unlike the old paradigm which was bureaucratic and followed top-level approach. Adopting the new paradigm of leadership will promote better performance, accountability and can also stifle organizational innovation as well as fitness. The author believes that complex leadership theory offers a new lens that can be used to perceive leadership in a new light. The author believes that the new theory of leadership moves past the logic used in the industrial era so that it can meet the new leadership required in the knowledge era. This paper will support me in future research especially when studying leading 21st-century organization, as it is important to build an understanding of new leadership concept which is applicable in the current century (Knowledge economy).
