An expert level class on computer programs and how they apply to the fashion industry, employing: Adobe Photoshop for prints integration; Adobe Illustrator to create tech packs and marketing development; Optitex for garments manufacturing and mass marketing.

HCC Course Withdrawal Policy

The State of Texas has begun to impose penalties on students who drop courses excessively. For example, if you repeat the same course more than twice, you have to pay extra tuition. Beginning in Fall 2007, the Texas Legislature passed a law limiting first time entering freshmen to no more than SIX(6) total courses withdrawals throughout their educational career in obtaining a certificate and/or degree.

BRANDING PROJECT

-Digitize an existing paper pattern using the Gerber digitizer; Draft a pattern from scratch. The pattern will be fully labeled, manipulated, trued and graded within Optitex.

-Once the 2D pattern has been trued, it is stitched virtually within Optitex. It is then projected onto a 3D avatar matching the measurements of the student’s target customer sample size, in a fabric matching the garment’s. The garment will go through fit runs until perfected.

A. Students must use the time in class to work on project. Failure to show

ree (3) tardies (up to 15 minutes late) = One (1) Absence. More than 15 utes late will be recorded as an absence.
