Guidelines for Students

Once all assessment tasks for this module have been completed, you will be given a final module result of ‘Competent’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’. If you are deemed ‘Not Yet Competent’ in a module after all resubmission attempts, you will be required to re-sit the module.

  1. Follow the instructions outlined in the ‘Electromeet - Remote Lab Instructions’.

  2. Now click on the subcategory icon titled ‘Transformer’.

  3. After a few seconds, a window may pop-up, asking if you want to copy this last simulation into “My VPLab” – Click “No Thank You”

  1. Once the simulation is running, set the primary windings to 50 turns, the secondary windings to 10 turns and the output power to 50 W.

  2. Record the primary voltage, secondary voltage, primary current and secondary current in the results table provided.
