tend to be the most difficult to implement in an existing process. If the process is still at the design or development stage, elimination and substitution of hazards may be inexpensive and simple to implement.

This includes cooperation between the people who manage or control the work and those who carry out the work or who are affected by the work.

By drawing on the knowledge and experience of your workers, more informed decisions can be made about how the work should be carried out safely.

1.6. What methods can use to continue to provide and clearly explain to your team, information about identified hazards and the outcomes of risk assessments and control. (Guide: 25+ words)

Notice or bulletin boards are often used for items such as health and safety posters.

Team briefings or group meetings with line or local managers can enable proper dialogue
One-to-one meetings, where individuals can express their views directly to line managers, are a good method of two-way feedback, but managers need to understand the importance of upward transmission, and success may depend on how consistently they behave in this respect.

Employee attitude surveys are one way in which management can find out about employees’ understanding, views and concerns.

Refer to the Australian Hardware scenario in Task 1, and complete all activities.
