What Similarities and differences characterized the migrant experiences of the Chinese in San Francisco, the Oblingers in Nebraska, and Native Americans?

Answer:

The Chinese immigrants came to the United States in three periods 1849-1882, 1882-1865, 1965 to the present time, now. The first Chinese migration began immediately after the Chinese gold rush and ended after the passage of the Chinese exclusion of 1882.The Chinese immigrants came to the United Stated first of all with the main aim of getting rich and sending the money they would earn back home. Some wanted to even work for a while and then return home to China after several years of wealth accumulation. America served as a symbol of something greater than monetary prosperity as it symbolized some light and hope of freedom, from intolerance based upon one’s views. It’s important to note that the major reason for these immigrants was the economic hardships, because of the growing dominance over china after its defeat of the opium war in 1839-1842. (Johnson)
