The customs that are followed in the Punjabi culture is their dress which is called Kurta pajama for men and salwar kameej for women. The culture is different from other cultures in terms of their philosophy, spirituality, education, artistry, music, food, history and values and military warfare.

Impact of culture on behavior of the individual

The cultural beliefs of Punjabis is to helpful all the times since the history. They used to welcome others with open heartily and celebrate their cultural festivals with great faith and joy. Their festivals include dance, food and music of their culture. These all beliefs help us to learn an experience that how to respect your culture and how to help others in a cheerful manner without finding difference in the religion and caste of other people. Punjabi’s help other people without expecting anything back from them. All and all they expect others to want helpful towards everyone else who needs help.

Impact of Australian culture on the Punjabi culture

Political landscape

Australia is a develop country and the Punjabis residing in the India are very much influenced by the Australian culture as the well developed roads, communication systems and the travelling systems has influencing the government to invest in the betterment in the Indian services.

Economic landscape

Punjabi culture is greatly influenced by the western culture of Australia as they are likely spending more of the financial incomes in adopting luxurious needs as that of Australian basic needs. Therefore they are paying much on the clothes exported from the western culture. Indians are investing too much to compare their values with the Australian culture.

Social landscape

Punjabis are socially impacting their social backgrounds like respecting other cultures of the people. Department- Research and development

Address- XXXXXX

The workplace is highly competent in terms of cultural diversity as it promotes the recruitment which is not based on the culture and religion. The recruitment is completely based on the talent and qualification.

  • How do you think your ability to build professional relationships with your colleagues and clients encourages a culturally safe work environment?

Discuss the strategy used to deal with the situation – do you agree with the way in which it was handled, or would you have done it differently?

Culture influences business communications by increasing the relevance of cultural knowledge and understanding. Yes, I have been involved in the cross-cultural misunderstanding with one of a person who belongs to South India. I was not able to understand the language as he was asking for the water and I was not able to understand. Then I used the strategy of sign language and able to understand that he was asking about water.

  • What frameworks, approaches and instruments are used in your workplace to not only champion human rights, but to also adhere to legislative and ethical requirements? In your response, ensure you are also referring to frameworks and procedures that deal with discriminatory practices and behaviours.

Approaches Framework Instruments
Educate all your workers about discrimination By the end of XX-XX-XXXX Training
Encourage workers to respect each other's difference By the end of XX-XX-XXXX Educating and training
Respond to any evidence or complaints of inappropriate behavior By the end of XX-XX-XXXX Legal actions
  • What interpreter services does your workplace use or make available to its staff and clients? What is the process used? How does your workplace ensure that the situation requires an interpreter, and that the person’s communication needs are met?

Interpreter process

  • Talk directly to the client, not the interpreter, and maintain eye contact with the client.

The need for an interpreter should be determined prior to an appointment, wherever possible. Assessing how well a person can understand English is the first step in identifying the need for an interpreter.
