Production Control
Can be defined as the act of controlling and monitoring the activity of the production whereby they will focus on more the quality control and inventory control. It is considered as one of the production planning processes which done in advance and provide in detail what the exact route or material that shall be used during running the production.For the production control, first objective of it is to ensure full utilization of all resources. This is because when the production has a clear guide on what they shall run, proper planning could be done, and this would avoid any wastage in many terms and one of it is the labor work source. With that, the owner of the production could schedule her production working hours and avoid doing overtime as it will cost the company.
The other objective that can be discussed is to provide the correction parts and materials to the production. With the help of the production, the instruction will come clearly on what should the production used in their products, and it will help to avoid any mistake that could contribute to the wastage or loss. With this kind of instruction, the production also can forecast on the usage of the inventory of the materials that shall be used.

Third phase is maturity whereby the competitor also now already established very well and high volume plus innovative product maybe needed. Throughout this process, it will improve the cost control, reduction in option and paring down of product line. It is also being defined that this stage already reached it peaks where the sales will increase slowly due to competitor existence. Plus, aggressive advertise maybe needed to ensure the product being aware by the customer and to sustain growth. For example, in this phase like Ford company whereby their design is not well accepted by the customer, and they need to upgrade to become competitive in the market.

Another issue that can be discussed is the modular design where the design product being created in easily segmented components. Through this design, it will add flexibility to production and marketing and improve the customer satisfaction. However, there are certain issue that could be faced in this modular design whereby the limitation for the specifications of the product design may not be fulfilled all the requirement. Also, it may affect the quality of the product itself as the product could be made in advance which would lower the quality during mass production.
Third issue is by using the computer aided design (CAD) where the method using a technology like computer to design product and prepare engineering documentation. The cycle development would be short, and it would help to improve the accuracy and save cost. However, when we are talking about technology, there will be issue that need to be considered such the probability to loss the work design in system when being attacked by virus. This could make the design created lose and the technology had a potential where it can be hacked, and someone can steal the product design for their use. With that, additional cost would be needed as need to protect the computer by buying antivirus and additional protecting.
When an organization is producing a product, it is their aim to make sure that their product would come in a good quality that could satisfy their customer. In order to achieve that, it is necessary for the organization to make sure that their product development team always in action to investigate for a better opportunity that could help to improve their product. All of that would be guided from the practicing the manufacturability in the product development process.
There are four benefits that would impact the organization if they were practicing it. First benefit that could be discussed is it will reduce the complexity of the product itself. By having more product development, the product design or component can be improved in way of assembling, process, or anything else that related. With that, it will help the company also cut down the work process and streamline the process become clearer and easier. For an example, a wood cabinet product they had changed the door type from push and pull to sliding type for better usage.
as it will affect the company performance. By upgrading the work process, it would increase the output of the production and indirectly would satisfy the customer expectation. Other than that, the company also need to taking care of the welfare of the worker by making sure that the work process is safe and would not harm the employee. For an example, in fuming process where it involves ammonia the company had making an initiative by providing the correct PPE and design a scrubber system to make sure the hazardous ammonia air would not get directly to working but being processed in a correct way.
