Core Connections Geometry Chapter 2
Alternate Interior Angles : Nonadjacent interior that lie on opposite sides of a transversal.
Alternate Exterior Angles : Nonadjacent exterior angles that lie on opposite sides of the transversal.
Exterior Angle of a Polygon : Angle formed by a side and an extension of an adjacent side.
Remote Interior Angles : The two nonadjacent interior angles to a given exterior angle.
Point - Slope Form : y-y1 = m(x-x1), where m is the slope and (x1,y1) is the point on the line of a non vertical line.
Skew Lines : Lines that are not on the same flat plane; they are not parallel and they do not intersect.
Alternate Exterior Angles : If a transversal intersects two parallel lines, then alternate exterior angles are congruent.
Converse of the Corresponding Angles Theorem : If two lines and a transversal form corresponding angles that are congruent, then the lines are parallel.
Slopes of Perpendicular Lines : If two non vertical lines are perpendicular, then their slopes are opposite reciprocals.Any horizontal line and vertical line are perpendicular.
