Ans. Technological changes refer to the changes which occur in the organization due to changes in the technology of products and equipment. Every technological change passes through three stages i.e. invention, innovation, and diffusion. Invention means the introduction of new technology. Innovation means the use of that technology for the first time and diffusion means the speed of people in adapting to the changes. Technological changes have a great impact on organizations. Technological changes make the processes in the organization faster as with the help of technology the speed of operation increases because it does not require lots of human workforces. The operations are performed by machines at a fast pace. Technological inventions like Robo advisors and artificial intelligence are creating lots of disruptions in organizations by eliminating the human workforce. The cost incurred in the recruitment and selection processes is reduced due to technological advancements as human force is not required to perform the operations of the organization. Communications amongst the employees also become easier with the introduction of new technologies. Now the employees can communicate easily with the help of emails and instant messaging apps without any problems and can get instant replies and the feedbacks. They do not have to wait for the feedback. Technological changes in the organization are very helpful.
