Cache Memory

It is very high speed semiconductor memory which make CPU speed very high. It acts as buffers between main memory and CPU.All data and program transfer from disk to cache memory by the help of operating systems where CPU can access the data.

Advantages of Cache Memory:-

1. It is faster than main memory.
2. cache store data for temporary use only.
3. Cache take very less access time in compression to main memory.
4. Cache stores program and execute in less period of time compare to other.

Disadvantages of Cache Memory are:-

1. cache memory has very limited storage capacity respect to other memory.
2. cache memory is more expensive than other memory.
3. cache will likely to impact on systems performance.
