Journalism's obituary has been written quite a few times. For instance, in the modern world, the __________(snowballing) (A) revenues of traditional journalistic platforms, the print media, for instance, intimidatory intervention, legal or otherwise, against digital news networks to stifle free speech and, equally important, the _________(receptiveness)(B) of the media fraternity before the powers that be - be it the government or big business are being cited as the principal causes that would lead to journalism's demise. Yet the __________(ensconce) (C) has turned out to be a rather stubborn species, proving the pundits wrong repeatedly. The conferring of this year's Nobel Peace Prize on two courageous, proficient scribes, Maria Ressa of the Philippines and Russia's Dmitry Muratov, shows that journalism can, indeed, be ________(reverend)(D) in spite of such formidable threats as State repression as well as the public vulnerability to enchantment with false narratives. The path to renewal for individual journalists and news organizations, as Ms Ressa and Mr Muratov have shown, lies in the ability to refresh journalism's commitment to the original charter of the fourth estate: to report the truth without fear or favour and uphold the primacy of free speech. This is, of course, not a road for the faint-hearted. Real journalistic work is considered to be a dangerous profession: in 2020, a report compiled by the director-general of

(B) Dysbiosis (increase in unhealthy bacteria in the gut) affects infant and toddler behaviour such as fecling scared or fearful, fecling depressed or disconnected, irritability and anxiety/ nervousness and cognitive development such as learning, speech, concentration and analytical thinking.
(C) We use phrases such as "follow your gut" or "listen to your gut" quite often when we have to make crucial decisions. Have you felt "butterflics in your stomach" or "a numbing feeling in your stomach" when you are anxious? Well, you are likely getting signals from an unexpected source: your second brain - the gut. Gut health can directly influence the expression and management of our mental health including depression, anxiety and stress. (D) The gut microbiome is the community of microbes and their genes that reside within the gastrointestinal tract and are a key driver of neurobiological and behavioural development. Research on the human microbiome clearly links dynamics in the gut with neurobiological development in children.

Directions (22-28) : Read the following passage and answer the given questions.
The passage given below is followed by a set of questions.
A simple organic memristor, for example, might have two layers of electrically conducting materials. When a voltage is applied, electric current drives positively charged ions from one layer into the other, changing how easily the second layer will conduct electricity the next time it is exposed to an electric current. "It's a way of letting physics do the computing," says Matthew Marinella, a computer engineer at Arizona State University in Tempe who researches neuromorphic computing. The technique also liberates the computer from strictly binary values. "When you have classical computer memory, it's either a zero or a one. We make a memory that could be any value between zero and one. So you can tune it in an analog fashion," Salleo says. At the moment, most memristors and related devices aren't based on organic materials but use standard silicon chip technology. Some are even used commercially as a way of speeding up artificial intelligence programs. But organic components have the potential to do the job faster while using less energy, Salleo says. For instance, Francesca Santoro, an electrical engineer now at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, is developing a polymer device that takes input from real cells and "learns" from it. In her device, the cells are separated from the artificial neuron by a small space, similar to the synapses that separate real neurons from one another. As the artificial (1) produces electrical (2), a nerve-signaling chemical, the dopamine changes the dopamine (3) state of the cells (4) half of the device. The more dopamine the cells produce, the more the electrical state of the artificial neuron changes, just as you might see with two biological neurons. "Our ultimate goal is really to design electronics which look like neurons and act like neurons," Santoro says.
Q22. "Your brain works with chemicals, with neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. Our materials are able to interact electrochemically with them," says Alberto Salleo, a materials scientist at Stanford University who wrote about the potential for organic neuromorphic devices in the 2021 Annual Review of Materials Research. This statement information is expressed and communicated in the passage by which one of the scientists?

(B) Different processes occur in the brain. Numerous neurons send messages to a single neuron, and when all of these signals combine, they have an impact on the receiving neuron's electrical state.
