Unihei Telecom BA assignment help

It is year 2023, and Unihei Telcom is the most innovative telecommunications company in Canada. UniHei manufactures a cell phone called "Uphone A." Uphone A was launched in 2020. And ever since then, it has been determined by the Canadian press to be the best cell phone in the world.

UniHei's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is Jeeves Sobs. Jeeves foresees that the period between years 2025 to 2030 is going to be very lucrative for the sales of luxury cell phones. In order to capture a share of this growing sector, Jeeves started a program on January 1 to build the best luxury cell phone by year 2025. The name of this phone would be "Uphone X."

This program is comprised of various projects being led by a Project Leader. Key projects include the following:

  • Interiors (PINT): focused on designing the interiors of Uphone X. This project will determine attributes like antenna, display, battery, etc. It will be led by Mr. Cim Took.
  • Exteriors (PEXT): focused on designing the exterior of Uphone X. This project will determine attributes like case material, colors, shape, etc. It will be led by Ms. Weng Manzhou.
  • Computing (PTEC): focused on designing the technology of Uphone X. This project will determine attributes like electronic processors, software features, etc. It will be led by Ms. Sonja Myth.

All these projects need to be successful in order to launch Uphone X effectively. Other members of this program include Mr. Sobs (CEO), Mr. Orange (Chief Financial Officer-CFO), Ms. Apple (Chief Technology Officer-CTO), and Ms. Grape (Chief Designer). All these people were involved in launching Uphone A in 2020. Cim, Weng, and Sonja will be dedicated 100% to Uphone X, while others will be splitting their time between Uphone A and X.

Mr. Took is an alumni of the University of Manitoba and happened to meet you in the parking lot one day. You were hired on the spot and joined UniHei on January 15th as the Lead Business Analyst (BA) on PINT. Jeeves asked you to create a Business Analysis Core Concept Model (BACCM) for PINT by January 22nd.

You created the BACCM before the due date and reviewed it with several stakeholders. The document was well prepared, and Cim asked you to share the Business Analysis Approach for PINT by January 29th.

You created the BA Approach just in time for the due date. Cim liked what he saw and wanted you to facilitate 3 meetings with the stakeholders in PINT by February 7th. You were not sure if 3 meetings would be enough, so you decided to lay out a plan for Cim.

By March 1st, your work with Cim and Jeeves had captured the attention of Weng. She was able to tap into your expertise for the business analysis work on PEXT.

During March and April, you held several elicitation sessions on both projects and talked informally with many stakeholders too. The following list contains some requirements that were specified:

  • PINT020: Uphone X’s battery life shall exceed seven days of continuous use.
  • PINT021: Uphone X’s display shall be able hit a peak luminance of 2000 units.
  • PINT022: Uphone X’s display shall be able to show any color on a spectrum of 1 million colors.
  • EXT032: Uphone X shall be the thinnest cell phone in the world.
  • PEXT033: Uphone X’s exteriors shall be made from gold and platinum.

You started reviews in May. On May 1st, in a session with Ms. Grape, she expressed concerns over these requirements. You discussed this issue with Cim and Weng, and they advised you to review with others. You were told that Jeeves wanted a prioritized list by May 15th.

Cim had to take a long term leave on June 1st. UniHei hired a qualified replacement swiftly, Natya Sadella, so as to not affect any of the project deadlines. Jeeves came to you and asked that you facilitate his onboarding.

This deliverable was part of Natya’s first week learnings. He was ramped up by June 15th and requested you to review all the requirements elicited so far.

During his onboarding, Natya also bonded with Ms. Apple and Ms. Grape. Both of them shared information about Uphone A with Natya. On June 22nd, he expressed a desire to leverage an interior design that was adapted from Uphone A. Jeeves found out about this plan and asked you to produce a report for him by June 29th.
